Abbott Jacob Buss Arrives!

He has arrived!! At 1:47 PM Abbott Jacob Buss arrived weighing 6 pounds 11.5 ounces, 19 inches long. He is perfect in every way and loved so much already.

The kids and Daddy waiting with me before the c-section. It was so nice being able to spend time with them before the birth.

Mom and my brother Jake (who Abbott was named after) waiting with me before Abbott arrives.

He made quite the entrance! We knew his lungs were in good shape because he cried a LOT and loud when he was born! That is funny now because he doesn't cry much and he has a pretty sweet little cry.

Aidan weighed 6 pounds 12 ounces on his due date. Ash was 6 pounds 4 ounces 1 week early. Abbott was 6 pounds 11.5 ounces 2 1/2 weeks early - so, he would have been my biggest baby had he gone full term.

Very very happy parents.

I'm so in love already.

The Morning Of...

The morning of Abbott's birth was actually very peaceful. With Aidan I remember being terrified - of the pain and of the unknown since he was my first. With Asher, since she came the night before the scheduled c-section, I felt rushed and out of sorts because labor was coming on so fast and I was thinking I was going to get a good nights rest and have her the next day. The morning Abbott arrived I was able to sleep in a little, shower, spend time with my family, then my brother Jake drove Matt and I to the hospital for our 9:45 check in time. It was a wonderful experience with lots of hugs and excitement.

Mom and I took a picture just like this before Aidan was born.

Matt, me, and the belly.

Our family, minus Fonzie who didn't want to come out for a picture, ready to grow from 4 to 5. :)

One last picture of mom and me before Matt and I left for the hospital.

Happy 4th! (And Baby Eve...)

Beware of belly pic! :) Here is a picture of me and the kids the night before Abbott arrived - which was also the 4th of July. We celebrated this year with a wonderful steak dinner made by Matt and his dad and enjoyed by Bob and Linda, Grandma Gloria, Mom, Jake, Me, Matt, and the kids. It was a nice peaceful evening with family. There were no fireworks due to the burn ban in Round Rock, but I was also too hot/tired to go to the fireworks in Georgetown either. So we eagerly awaited our little firework to be born the next day while relaxing at home!!

They were making hearts on my belly.

I held each of the kids for a little bit since I would not be able to hold them for awhile due to my c-section.

Holding my baby girl.

Matt and Max with matching wagging tongues.

My beautiful mom and me. She is so ready to hold that Grandbaby and very glad he waited to be born until she got here! One of the pluses of a scheduled c-section.

My handsome brother Jake.

My super handsome hubby Matt. :)

Our family of 4 the night before we become a family of 5.

The Buss crew: Grandma Gloria, Bob, Jake (honorary member) :), Me, Linda, Matt, Ashy, and Aidan.

We had a wonderful 4th of July - even though it was low key. Just perfect. :)
